For sale is this,rare,18th Century book (around 1762)-"The description and use of both the Globes-The Armillery Sphere and Orrery,exemplified".Also in part two,The use of the Terrestrial Globe.Written by Benjamin Martin--and sold by him.The book would of been sold,to someone who owned ,or had just bought one of these,very expensive instruments.
The book is a fascinating insight,of what the Georgians knew about Astronomy,there is also a catalogue of the stars, and at the end of the book is a list of scientific instruments,that Benjamin Martin sold at his shop,-The sign of Hadleys Quadrant and visual glasses,near Crane Court,in Fleet street,London.
Condition/wise-Both front and back boards are loose and have been taped ,using sellotape!
Inside ,it is pretty good.
