Golosinas Argentinas is an object book to enjoy, treasure or give away.

Golosinas Argentinas documents the trajectory of a rich, tempting and fun food product, closely related to art and customs. The book offers a journey that involves the five senses, evoking the milestones of the past, celebrating those sweets that still endure and revealing the taste of the most recent ones. It also exhibits the candy's own habitat: the kiosk.

The author says: This book arose in me naturally, for the genuine pleasure of accessing the world of sweets with the possibility of recreating it.

The candy is another ingredient of our heritage: it appeals to the memory of each one of us. Although there are sweet, industrial and serial foods, there are Argentine, very Argentine, in which their own identity traits clearly differ.

Argentinian sweets proposes to each one their own association. When leafing through the pages of the book, what we do is nothing more than build our own history. Anyway, my intention is that we can move beyond this identification, to distance ourselves from sweets as everyday objects and discover the aesthetic and artistic aspect that they reveal. Candy exceeds the historical or documentary character.

The book includes texts by the anthropologist Eduardo Archetti and the journalist Carlos Ulanovsky, and has the collaboration of artists who work with sweets such as Fabiana Barreda, Sebastian Gordin, Juan Mathe, Mondongo (Agustina Picasso, Juliana Laffitte, Manuel Mendanha), along with the collaborations of the designers Alejandro Ros, Horacio Gallo and the architect Rafael Vinoly. The art direction was in charge of Erica Rubinstein and Nebur. The photographs are by Adrian Rocha Novoa, Paula Stoliar and Roman Vinoly.

The result is a visual treat, a book that smells like candy. A book that delights.
