Award-winning author-illustrator Eric Carle (who has just died) first produced his quality early children's books in the 1960s and they're as popular and collectable as ever. 'My Very First Book of Words' from 1974 is one of his classic baby learning books as reissued in 2006 as a mid-size board book with flaps to match words to pictures .
