James A. FitzPatrick Traveltalks: Shorts: Volume 3 (DVD-R / Warner Archive Collection):

Three-disc DVD presentation of the third and final volume of shorts. Please visit our eBay store for more volumes, and one lot of all three!

What is the Warner Archive Collection?: These rare titles are not available in stores and are normally produced at the studio on-demand, causing a delay. However, unlike other sellers, we have purchased these in advance so they are in stock at our warehouse, ready to ship.

What is DVD-R?: Unlike our other DVDs, this title uses DVD-R, which provides the same information formatting, quality and durability as regular DVDs. DVD-R will play on all playback-only DVD and Blu-ray players, but will NOT play on devices with write capability, such as personal computers. As always, we guarantee every item 100% against damage, defects and loss.

New and factory sealed. All of our items are authentic from the manufacturer and formatted to play on USA and Canada players. We never sell illegal copies or Asian imports.

Synopsis:

To paraphrase the peripatetic producer of these Technicolor travelogues, it is with this third volume that we reluctantly say farewell to the “voice of the globe,” James A. FitzPatrick. Spanning the years 1940 to 1953, these shorts, produced for MGM, provide poignant and picturesque postcards of the four corners of the Earth, from prewar New Orleans to postwar Western Germany, allowing a generation of moviegoers to experience the world from their hometown movie house. And as a final treat, two supersized travel specials are included – James A. FitzPatrick's “Mighty Manhattan: New York's Wonder City” and the non-FitzPatrick production “Rome, The Eternal City,” which gives us a glimpse of Cinecitta (and Deborah Kerr!) during the production of Quo Vadis.
