I needed these rollers to access hard-to-reach spots that my long-pole roller couldn't get, and they worked like a charm. I've used these rollers with acrylic paints and water-based stains with only a little bit of trouble: When the roller becomes saturated, it is difficult to turn to clear off the excess or roll onto the substrate. However, once it loses some of the excess, it rotates and covers well.
