This is a Stunning and Desirable piece of Vintage 1960's British Gold Jewellery. Made in 9ct Yellow Gold it is a Traditional Charm featuring an Old £5 Note (which is the version used from 1963-1971) behind a Curved Plastic Cover. There is a message Engraved underneath which reads "In Emergency Break Glass" and the Charm could be soldered onto a Bracelet by using a Jump Ring. It is Fully Hallmarked on the back as photographed with IJ Ld. for the Maker's Mark, 9 and .375 for the Gold Purity, the Date Letter l for 1966, the Leopard's Head Mark for London Assay Office and it has been electronically tested at a precious metal refinery to confirm the Gold Content. It weighs 2.9g and measures 20mm long x 14mm wide including the bail x 7mm deep. It is in a used and good condition for its age with some minor surface wear and just two minute dents on the back which are so small they don't detract at all.
