Nicolas and Frances McDowall created one of the finest collections of British Neo-Romantic Art  which includes work by the forerunners such as Blake and Palmer, the major prewar exponets like Pier, Sutherland, Nash, Tanner and Griggs and many artists who adapted and followed the romantic spirit post WWII. Many of the artist contributed work to the Old Style Press publications that the McDowalls published.The first and only study of their collection with an by Peter Wakelin and and introduction by Nicolas and Frances McDowall.
