Info:  The 821 Vent Valve provides a reliable, cost effective means of locally venting brake pipe and assists in transmitting the emergency rate of brake pipe reduction through the train.

Features: 
• Provides redundant emergency brake initiation in conjunction with the NYAB CCB II and CCB-26 Locomotive Brake Systems
• Provides greatly enhanced emergency initiation capability for Distributed Power - initiated emergencies in difficult conditions of brake pipe charging or DP communication loss. 
• Responds directly to pipe 21 actuation and/or to rapid reduction of brake pipe for emergency initiation propagation. • Rubber products meet the high and low temperature and performance requirements of AAR Standard S-4001. 
• Improved ergonomic quality through the use of light weight aluminum. 
• Corrosion protected with environmental friendly iridate. 
• Identification plate displays critical information such as part number, configuration level, serial number and type. 
• Designed for use with working pressures up to 110 psig. 
• Approximate net weight of 10-1/2 lbs
