JAPAN 1919/10/6 1st Trial OSAKA-TOKYO CARD w/ cancelled AIRMAIL FLIGHT Chop RARE

1919.October 6th - Card related with the 1st Trial Airmail Flight EVENT between OSAKA and TOKYO. Cards were prepared, franked and obliterated with the event commemorative chop and available for use at the day of the flight ,however, the flight did not occurred.

Card was applied a 6 characters Japanese language red chop on reverse reading "ACCIDENT- FLIGHT - CANCEL" (Air flight was cancelled due to trouble/accident).

The card was written by someone in Osaka to a friend in Tokyo.  Text reads “
What a lucky thing that we can see air mail because of our long life!” There is also comments on the weather becoming cooler.

Although the card was written and meant to be carried to Tokyo by air, the flight was cancelled, one must assume from the applied mark due to damage to the plane.
Very interesting piece of Airmail postal history!
