At the Cake Decorators Boutique, we print onto edible wafer sheets and iced sheets. Our clients always ask what the difference is and we tell them the following:

Wafer Card (also known as rice paper)

The main thing you need to know about rice card is that the picture quality will be much better than on wafer or rice paper.  Wafer card is great for standing toppers as it is thicker, however it is still very easy to cut out with a pair of scissors.
They are great for childrens parties and putting on cupcakes or for individual shapes such as flowers and butterflies.

Wafer card is quicker to apply as it does not have a backing sheet. You just cut out your image/s (if needed) using sharp scissors or a craft knife and put onto your cake.
