Coming from the JAVA reed family, the JAVA Red benefits from a brand new cut. It is also the first Vandoren jazz and variety reed with scratched bark.

The sound is more mat and centered, rounder than the JAVA (green package).

JAVA reeds are more flexible than Traditional and V16 reeds, and vibrate over a large palette, developing a brilliant sound with immediate response.

Each reed is packaged in its individual bag or "flow-pack", which guarantees them great "freshness", and a re-usable hard plastic case, for optimal protection.
