This Natural Coarse Sand Substrate is perfect for a naturalistic sand bottom scape. The grains are round and smooth, optimal for sensitive sand sifting fish such as Corydoras and Loaches. Coarse sand is the optimal size for plant roots to grow quickly with a deep rooting, and offers both surface area and oxygen to beneficial bacteria. The sand is 100% natural silica with no added dyes, colors or treatments.
There may be some dust residue remaining on the sand, I recommend rinsing several times before adding it to your aquarium. Rinsing is much easier than with fine sand, as the dust is easily washed away in as little as 3 quick rinses from my experience.
