This auction is for ONE GENUINE & SEALED/UNOPENED Microsoft Windows 7 Professional OEM System Builder boxed license kit with 32-bit installation DVD and certificate of authenticity included, licensed for distribution only in the United States and Canada.
Please note, read carefully:
- This is an unopened and sealed OEM license kit for system builders, which has never been
installed onto a PC. As the license agreement has never even been
"started", it is simply being sold as a boxed product, therefore without PC hardware. The pictures of the opened box are there as an illustration for the auction, you will receive a sealed kit.
- This is as genuine and unused as it gets: double-sealed original box from Microsoft, never opened. Genuine COA sticker inside the box. You will be the first one to ever see the product key inside.
- As all Windows 7 product keys, the product key is valid for both 32 and 64 bit releases. It is valid for any language.
- At the time of writing, an activated valid license of Windows 7 Professional will still pass the upgrade verification tool to Windows 10 Professional. Hence, this license is effectively a Windows 10 Professional OEM license.
- A "system builder" is anyone who assembles, reassembles, or installs software on a new or used computer system.

Once installed, the license is forever bound to the hardware you have
installed it onto. It cannot be moved to different hardware or be
resold. It is not a retail license!
- Old new stock from a US distributor, reselling here the unused remainder of the lot purchased. The license states it should only be distributed in the US. The license terms define "distribution" as "the point in time when a customer system leaves your control".
- The license terms do not state anything about NOT distributing the
software/hardware combination. It appears that if you are a system
builder making an installation only for your own use only and keep it, you would not
violate any of the distribution terms of the license agreement even if used outside the US/Canada, as
there is, by definition, no distribution happening at all.
- The package states it can only be delivered to US/Canada regions, however this is a contractual provision which may perhaps apply to the original distributor, but it does not apply to me as an (intermediate) Ebay seller, selling an unopened box. That would be against international free trade policies.
- The license terms state you may only activate the software within the US or Canada and the software may refuse activation outside these regions. In case it applies to you, you could, however, legally activate the software when visiting one of these regions, for example. Activation should also be possible over a VPN connection terminating in these regions, however, I will stop short of discussing whether this would be a circumvention of license terms or not, or whether this activation restriction is by itself an illegal provision which a manufacturer cannot impose. You could say that if you succeed activating it and you somehow got the manufacturer's "electronic approval", then it's activated, period.
- The license terms DO NOT state product use is restricted to the US or Canada. Once it has been activated in this region, you can use it wherever you wish.
