cloth with gilt lettering and decoration, top edge gilt.
Fragile copy but still quite handsome, with
fold-outs and color plates. Index. Dr. Schliemann
was a pioneer in the field of archeology, at times
perhaps not as careful as one would want, but
instrumental in promoting the field and its importance.
Condition: Sold AS IS. Spine rubbed and sunned with
chipped ends; tips also rubbed. Text-block split about
halfway, but pages are holding intact. Toning, no
marking to text. Colors still bright. See photos.
