Buy from Canada as you would from any other USA seller. Shipping from Canada is cheapest when combining shipping by buying multiple items at once. Adding more items often costs very little (or nothing).
Some restrictions apply: I will only combine shipping if there is a cost advantage and if the items will not get damaged (e.g. combining a heavy item and a delicate item might not be the best pairing). Canada Post often charges by weight and size thresholds. Keeping under certain weights and sizes allows for added items with no added cost per item so please contact if you have any questions or concerns.
Combined shipping is welcomed and encouraged. Simply add all the items you want into your shopping cart but do not pay immediately. Chooses the "request total" option and wait for the shipping costs to be adjusted accordingly. Once the shipping fees are adjusted you can then pay for the items.
I sell mostly Commodore machines, games, accessories and other vintage items. I understand the love of these old machines and looking back with fondness of our younger years using computers back when they were truly personal. As such, I take great care to ensure merchandise arrives to you in the same condition as I originally receive them.
Many of the items I sell are extremely rare or hard to come by hence you'll find many items worth collecting. Grab a bit of history while you still can! Most vintage items are no longer manufactured and represent a time period in the golden age of computing so add "Vintage Commodore and More" to your favourite sellers list!
"MINT" - The item has not been used and is in the same condition as received from the manufacture or authorized dealer. Some fading, scratches, scuffs are possible on long stored vintage items (but this is typically identified in photos or described in the listing when known).
"NEW UNUSED" - The item has not been used since received the manufacture or authorized dealer. However, items may have shelf storage damage, plastic shrink wrap tears, box crushing (especially due to sealed plastic wrap shrinkage over time), sale stickers or other marks. Some fading, scratches, scuffs are also possible on long stored vintage items (but this is typically identified in photos or described in the listing when known).
"GOOD" - The item is used but in good condition. Some smaller acceptable surface scratches, crushing, indentations, tears, marks, scuffs, dirt, tape, glue, highlighting and pen/pencil marks are possible.
"FAIR" - The item is used but in fair condition. Larger but acceptable surface scratches, crushing, broken parts, indentations, tears, marks, scuffs, dirt, tape, glue, highlighting and pen/pencil marks are possible and the item may be fairly dirty.
"POOR" - The item is used and almost completely ruined. The item might still be useable in some way, however limited. Expect large and unacceptable tears, crushed items, broken bits, indentations, tears, marks, scuffs, dirt, tape, glue, highlighting and pen/pencil marks.
"NEEDS REPAIR" - The item no longer functions but may or may not be possible to repair. Do not expect any functionality from the item.
Keep in mind all conditions are a judgment call by the seller. Detailed photographs are provided as part of the listing to make up your own mind about the condition but not all blemishes might be captured by the photograph, such as but not limited to, highlights or in-book marks, bent corners, non-visible product angles or camera/lighting imperfections. Care is made to photograph and list issues but some issues may be missed.
"Uncommon" (3-5) - The item is available from time to time but sources are limited. Expect an elevated value.
"Rare" (6-8)- The item rarely is available and sources are extremely limited. Expect a high value, even in lesser conditions.
"One-of-a-kind" (9) - The item almost never shows up for sale and sources for the item are almost impossible. Expect a volatile extremely high value.
0 through 9 - Qualifiers for rarity where a higher number is more rare than a lower number.
Keep in mind, all rarity guidelines are a judgment call by the seller and no guarantees are made regarding the actual rarity of the item. Uncommon and occasionally rare items will sometimes show up in groups of sales as their value rises and people see others selling the items at a good value. Ultimately how much an item is valued is completely dependent on what someone else is willing to pay for the item, the emotional attachment to the item and how much visibility an item receives from potential buyers.
If performed, testing is always limited and full feature testing will not be performed on items. Some testing is extremely difficult or impossible. For example, application diskettes cannot be verified for read errors as read errors are often intentionally put on the disks for copy protection reasons. The seller may lack tools, parts or the knowledge required to properly and thoroughly test any item. For specific non-damaging simple tests, please ask the seller prior to purchasing an item.
Payment must be sent within 10 days of a winning bid or Buy-It-Now. Buyers failing to send payment within 10 days will receive non-payment negative feedback and will be blocked from being able to purchase items in the future from this seller. Additional intentional delays will not be tolerated and subject to immediate negative feedback. Money orders, certified checks, bank drafts and notes are subject to CLEARANCE as any normal checks due to the possibility of fraud and other internet scams. No items will be shipped until all funds are fully received and verified with no possibility of claw-back.
Where possible and appropriate, the seller will combine shipping costs. The seller will only combine shipping if there is a cost advantage and combining the items won't cause any damage. All items weights listed above do not include the packaging as the seller can't determine the packaging until the seller knows the total shipment and the shipping materials required to prevent damage.
The seller typically sends via Canada Post for items located in Canada. If you require faster service or alternative service please contact the seller before purchasing.
Please choose shipping with insurance whenever possible to provide protection against damage due to shipping. Please take photos of the package upon arrival from multiple angles prior to opening and photos of the package contents upon opening. Where possible, detailed photographs of item conditions are provided and further ones may be available by contacting the seller. Care is used in packaging to protect items but ultimately nothing is 100% perfect.
Items are shipped within a few days and no more than a week after receiving and/or clearing payment unless buyer intentionally asks to hold back shipping the items for a short period so combined shipping on other purchases may be done. The seller will combine shipping where possible and appropriate.
Local pickup is welcomed at the seller's convenience. Please contact seller prior to buying to ensure your schedule jives with the sellers [hint: evenings and weekends are typically available]. Please note, if you agree to a time and location for local pickup then be on time as the seller will not wait and the seller may leave negative feedback as a result of unacceptable and rude local pickup lateness. If you don't like the terms for local pickup then have the item(s) shipped instead.
NOTE: All weights and/or sizes listed do not include packaging. Recycled shipping materials are used where possible but only if the items are sufficiently protected for shipping purposes and shipping costs may already include the cost of any additional packaging materials needed.
Unless otherwise specified above, buyer only pays actual shipping, fuel surcharge, packaging, insurance, shipping materials costs, and related government taxes. Importation duties and taxes, fees, fines, levees, and other agency charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Refunds due to any additional required charges incurred will not be accepted.
Application cartridges, diskettes and new non-vintage hardware listed as "Fair", "Good" or "Mint" condition, unless otherwise specified, may be returned for a refund of the listing [not including the shipping or other charges] as defective with 5 days of receiving the item provided that contact has been made with the seller within 5 days of receiving the item. This return policy does not cover damage due to shipping or neglectful usage after receiving the item but it does offer some protection against DOA [Dead-On-Arrival] due to manufacturing defects.
All used hardware or new vintage hardware and accessories are sold 'as is', unless otherwise specified and not available for a refund as they are mechanical in nature and subject to random unknown variables, especially in shipping.
Books, supporting materials, original packaging, papers, materials and other items are not available for a refund even if the item does not arrive in the same condition as listed due to shipping damage.
Any item listed in the "Needs Repair" condition may not be returned as defective as they are listed as defective in advanced.
For returns where allowed, the buyer must pay return shipping and must include all items included as part of the listing in identical condition as they were received. Failure to return all materials in the same condition will make the return policy void.
The seller prefers PayPal as it is least susceptible to fraud but it is not immune. Typical fraud schemes that you must be concerned about as a buyers include:
Fake overpayment or refund return - an authentic looking fake email is sent out confirming a larger than asked money was transferred to your account and then another email is sent asking to return the additional funds.
Fake payment requests - an authentic looking fake email asking for payment except the website that is directed is not PayPal's or eBay's site but a look alike which takes your private information and sucks your account dry of funds.
As such, always go to eBay or PayPal directly to pay for items or verify funds and never click on links from emails to protect against authentic looking fake emails.
To all those fraud buyers, do not purchase items from this seller. This seller is aware of many fraud schemes and will not fall victim to them.
