Up for sale is vintage 1960's original oil on masonite board painting by Canadian artist Rudolph Anton Messner (1912-1997). This highly atmospheric winter landscape capturing a horseback stroll through the woods is titled "Winter Time". It is very well executed employing a sophisticated knowledge of light, color and perspective.
The painting itself is measuring about 28” (71 cm) by 23 ½” (59 cm), and the frame is measuring 36” (91 cm) by 32” (81 cm).
It is signed by the artist lower right. The painting would be a very sound investment and a great addition to any collection.
