The Son of Monte Cristo VHS 1940 Louis Hayward George Sanders EXCELLENT WOW!  Purchased brand new by seller and played twice throughout the years, cassette has a slight purple hue inside but plays just like new, box looks like new but for slight shelf wear.  Great find for any retro vintage classic VHS collector by far!

Edmond Dantes Jr. (Louis Hayward), the dashing son of the Count of Monte Cristo, finds his own adventure in the kingdom of Lichtenburg. Although the Grand Duchess of Zona (Joan Bennett) rightfully rules over the territory, she is engaged in a power struggle with evil Gen. Gurko (George Sanders), who conspires to take over. Dantes dons all manner of cunning disguises to come to the queen's aid, taking on the identity of a banker, a revolutionary and many others.
