Re Colour Variation:

The item is manufactured as olive green so the unissued ones are darker olive

Due to the fine ribbing and sun fading / wear / wash as the item is 100% cotton they will fade over time so the Grade 1 items will appear lighter in colour and closer to khaki / field grey. 

Hence grade may have an impact on the colour match.
