For sale, an old and ATTRACTIVE, VERY EARLY  COMPLETE SCRIP BOOK (ALL THE CHITS INTACT) AND BELIEVE TOUGHER TO FIND $3.00 book (SOME OF THESE WERE LISTED AS RARE IN THE SCHILLING NEW MEXICO TOKEN BOOK…the only book which lists this old scrip) "good for" style trade tokens which says "GOOD IN MERCHANDISE ONLY, $3.00….." actually at a  mining company store business run by merchant "AT THE STORE OF W.H. ACKLIN" which was located in the MINING GHOST TOWN town of SANTA RITA, NEW MEXICO

RECENTLY SOLD THE $2.00 SCRIP BOOK.....OFFERED HERE FOR FIRST TIME IS THE $3.00 SCRIP BOOK WITH PALE BROWN COVER.....this comes out of a lifetime New Mexico scrip token collection...only one like this i have to offer

This is a neat old token scrip book, and original owner classified as tough to find.. love the beautiful condition, and ALL OF SCRIP CHIT TOKENS APPEAR TO BE INSIDE.

I HAVE A COUPLE OF NEW MEXICO TOKEN BOOKS, AND THE JOHN SCHILLING CATALOG ACTUALLY LISTS THESE RARE "SCRIP" TOKENS AND BOOKS……UNDER SANTA RITA, HE LISTS SOME OF THESE "W.H. ACKLIN" SCRIP TOKEN BOOKS FROM THIS GHOST TOWN....JUST A BEAUTIFUL OLD SPECIMEN

Original owner collected old New Mexico scrip tokens...every denomination and style....he had one of each

THIS TOKEN BOOK WAS FROM A BETTER DAY…WHEN A LOWLY SCRIP BOOK ACTUALLY BOUGHT SOMETHING…now if you are lucky, you can get an entire bag of groceries for under $100….THIS OLD SCRIP BOOK WOULD HAVE BEEN USED AT OLD MINING "COMPANY STORE" and $3 was a lot of money back in the day when loaf of bread cost a whole nickel

The site of the mining ghost town town of Santa Rita is located in Grant County, believe east of Silver City NM. (tough town to find tokens from)

Acklin Store scrip book is a beautiful variety, this is a great "GO WITH" collectible for a paper advertising & token collector as well.

Trade token scrip book is light brown cardboard, rectangular,  about 50mm x 137mm  in size, and it displays very nicely. (please see pictures in gallery) Book is complete, in great shape.

Gallery pictures should give you all the information you need. The thing that can make these old scrip tokens hard to find today, is that they cannot be "metal detected" a hundred years later….the cardboard would never survive. (they had to be purposely save by great grandpa in cigar box or such)

BEING LISTED ON EBAY AS "BUY IT NOW" (will be in a "hard sleeve" to protect during shipment)...ONLY ONE LIKE THIS THAT I HAVE TO OFFER

Terrific and COMPLETE, $3.00 PALE BROWN COVER VARIETY old "good for" SCRIP TOKEN BOOK, once used at the at the "W. H. ACKLIN, AT THE STORE OF..." business which operated near the mining ghost town of SANTA RITA, NEW MEXICO.

Thanks so much for looking....collect and invest in history!!!!!   Tangible assets are always the best ones.
