Not a skier, but love to run, these are perfect in cold weather for outdoor activities. For better movement when skiing, the material is bent at the knee area a little and divided into two parts. Waistband has silicone bands for added security and fit. Side zipper at the lower leg to the knee and bottom zipper for easy on/off of ski boots. Material is windproof, waterproof and breathable with membrane 1000/1000
