หลวงพ่อไสว วัดปรีดาราม อ.สามพราน จ.นครปฐม มีชื่อเสียงโด่งดังมากที่สุดรูปหนึ่งของ อ.สามพราน ในช่วงประมาณปี 2530-40 หลวงพ่อไสว ได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็น 1 ใน 5 สุดยอดพระเกจิของนครปฐมที่คนรู้จักมากที่สุด ประกอบด้วย หลวงพ่อเปิ่น วัดบางพระ หลวงปู่พูล วัดไผ่ล้อม หลวงพ่อไสว วัดปรีดาราม หลวงปู่แย้ม วัดสามง่าม หลวงพ่ออั๊บ วัดท้องไทร จริงๆแล้วชื่อเสียงของหลวงพ่อไสว ท่านดังมานานแล้วในพื้นที่ ถ้าท่านไม่แน่จริงคงไม่ออกเหรียญรูปเหมือนรุ่นแรก ตอนอายุประมาณ 44ปี พร้อมกับรูปถ่ายห้อยคอ ซึ่งมีผู้นำไปบูชาเกิดประสบการณ์มากมายทั้งเมตตา คงกระพัน เราเคยไปกราบนมัสการหลวงพ่อไสว หลายครั้งพร้อมกับให้หลวงพ่อไสว เมตตาช่วยลง นะ หน้าทอง ซึ่งเป็นวิชาที่สร้างชื่อให้กับหลวงพ่อมากที่สุด เพราะการปิดทองของท่านจะไม่เหมือนของเกจิท่านอื่นๆ คือแผ่นทองคำเปลว ท่านจะวางทองคำเปลวลงไปโดยไม่คลี่กระดาษ วางลงในจุดที่จะปิดทองคำเปลว เช่นตำแหน่งหน้าผาก หน้าอก หลัง ฝ่ามือ เป็นต้น แล้วท่านบริกรรมชั่วอึดใจแล้วเอามือตบที่ทองคำเปลวแล้วแผ่นทองคำเปลวจะซึมเข้าสู่ร่างกายของคนผู้นั้น ไปแต่ละครั้งท่านจะปิดทองให้อย่างมากแค่ 2 ตำแหน่งในร่างกาย ถ้าใครจะปิดให้ทั่วตัว ต้องไปหลายครั้ง หลวงพ่อไสว ท่านเป็นพระใจดี มีเมตตาสูงมาก ใบหน้ายิ้มแย้มตลอดเวลา นอกจากด้านวิชาอาคม ท่านยังเก่งด้านยาสมุนไพรรักษาโรคด้วย วัตถุมงคลที่สร้างในสมัยหลวงพ่อมีชีวิตและได้รับความนิยมมากๆ นอกจากพวกพระเครื่องทั่วไป เช่น เหรียญ พระกริ่ง สมเด็จ เป็นต้น เครื่องรางที่น่าบูชาของท่านเช่น ตะกรุด มีดหมอ ปลัดขิก(เค้าว่าเด็ดมากด้านค้าขาย ตอนนั้นฟังมาจากปากของคนที่มาบูชาโดยครง) กุมารทองจินดา เป็นต้น หลวงพ่อไสว มีพลังจิตเข้มขลังมาก เคยร่วมปลุกเสกกับหลวงพ่อยิด หลวงพ่อเปิ่น ซึ่งทราบดีในวงในว่าหลวงพ่อไสว ก็เคยถูกลองวิชาขณะเข้าร่วมงานปลุกเสกที่วัดต่างๆ แต่ดูเหมือนว่าไม่สามารถเอาชนะวิชาของหลวงพ่อไสว เรื่องนี้มีลงในหนังสือพระหลายฉบับ
ประวัติคร่าวๆ หลวงพ่อไสว วัดปรีดาราม เกิดเมื่อ 18 มกราคม พ.ศ.2464 เป็นชาวอยุธยา โดยกำเนิด ท่านได้สนใจศึกษาวิชาอาคมตั้งแต่เด็กโดยเรียนกับโยมบิดา ต่อมาท่านได้บวชเป็นสามเณร ที่วัดปรีดาราม ในปี 2481 เมื่ออายุครบบวชเป็นพระได้อุปสมบทที่ วัดปรีดาราม โดย หลวงพ่อใย วัดบางช้างใต้ เป็นพระอุปัชฌาย์ พระอาจารย์เจิม เจ้าอาวาสวัดยายส้ม (วัดปรีดาราม) เป็นพระกรรมวาจาจารย์ และพระอาจารย์เปลื้อง วัดจินดาราม เป็นพระอนุสาวนาจารย์ ได้รับฉายาว่า ฐิตวณฺโณ เมื่อบวชแล้วท่านได้ศึกษาทั้งด้านปริยัติและปฏิบัติ จนสำเร็จนักธรรมเอก เนื่องจากท่านมีความสนใจในวิชาอาคมมาแต่เดิม จึงได้เรียนวิชาจากทั้งพระเกจิและฆราวาสที่มีชื่อเสียง เช่น หลวงพ่อใย วัดบางช้างใต้ หลวงพ่อพูน วัดใหม่ปิ่นเกลียว หลวงพ่อเงิน วัดปรีดาราม อาจารย์ยัง เพชรบุรี ท่านเป็นฆราวาสที่ดังมาก แม้แต่หลวงพ่อยิด หลวงพ่อแล ยังมาศึกษาวิชาครับ หลวงพ่อไสว มรณภาพเมื่อปี 2543 อายุ 79ปี เป็นพระเกจิอีกรูปที่สังขารของท่านไม่เน่าเปื่อย
