This is an original antique 1910s double tiered embroidered floral lace and net sheer short sleeve summer dress. The top consists of 2 layers of netting with the top layer being decorated with floral embroidery. The neckline is trimmed with a sheer gauze like silk and has a drawstring running through it that ties in the back. The back of the dress closes with silver metal hooks and eyes. These are individually sewn on but can tear at the fabric if pulled too tightly. The skirt is made in 2 tiers of double netting with the top layer also being decorated with the same floral embroidery. Although the dress has 2 layers it is sheer so you may want to wear a slip with it.

The waist appears to have originally had some sort of sheer silk sash attached to it as there are a few remnants of it left attached to the back waist seams. I didn't have anything like this so I paired it with a new ivory satin ribbon that can be wrapped and tied around the waist. The waist does look unfinished without a sash or belt.

Condition
The dress has been thoroughly hand washed by soaking it overnight with Restoration, a specially formulated detergent for vintage and antique textiles to remove stains, spots and yellowing from age and storage and to restore the fabric to it's original color.

The dress is in very good overall condition and is wearable. The netting had a few small holes that have been repaired but these are not very noticeable.
