The Latch does not lock one side to the other,

Even when locked all one needs to do is lift the gate with the lock about 2 inches and the gate can be opened! Poor design the lock should be on the side without the Lever I have had one of these on a gate for a few years before I discovered the design flaw so I couldn't return it.

The gate flip latch is sturdy and works well but allows more of a gap between panels once locked than I would have liked. In order to keep the doors closed less than an inch this latch required me to secure the sides of the panels next to the building opening as well.
