This item is a top of the range powerful and industrial barcode scanner from world leaders, Symbol/Motorola (now Zebra). The model is the DS3508 DP (Dot Part Marking) with high definition optics, and offered as the complete working kit with plug and play USB cable. Tested to work perfectly, the DS3508 reads all normal barcodes(UPC,EAN,code 39,code 128 etc....) and also 2-D barcodes (QR code, Datamatrix etc.) such as the examples in the pictures above. In addition it can read Dot Part Marking barcodes as in the above picture, typically etched into metal. The scanner is in professionally refurbished condition with brand new handle and top housing.
The scanner WORKS OUT OF THE BOX. Attach the USB cable from base to computer, and the characters from the barcode appear on screen as if they had been typed in, so any application that will accept typed characters will work with this scanner !
