First Day Cover for Scott 1865, the 35c definitive stamp from the Great Americans Series depicting Dr. Charles Drew.  Drew is most famous for having developed and advanced techniques for the collection and storage of blood plasma, primarily in the 1940s. 

The stamp is postmarked on its day of issue with a small First Day bullseye from Washington, DC. 

The cachet is by Andrews Cachets.
