Gisele Pascal

Giselle Tallone, known as Gisèle Pascal, is a French actress born September 17, 1921,

in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes) and died on February 2, 2007 in Nîmes (Gard).

 Biography

Gisèle Pascal, Giselle Marie Madeleine Tallone by her full birth name, was born to florist parents of Italian origin. She studies dance. Contrary to many assertions, she never studied singing, which did not prevent her from singing in operettas.

In 1941, she made her theater debut in the company of Claude Dauphin. In 1946, she had an affair with the singer Yves Montand. In 1947, she had an affair with Prince Rainier III of Monaco. They separated in 1953 following an erroneous medical diagnosis stating that she could not have children.

In 1953, she had an affair with Gary Cooper, whom she met on the set of Boum sur Paris. On October 8, 1955, she married actor Raymond Pellegrin, a childhood sweetheart seen again on the set of Marchandes d'illusions (1954).

She is the mother of Pascale Pellegrin, born September 12, 1962.

With her husband, they owned the Parisian restaurant Lapérouse in the 1970s.

She died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 85. She is buried in the cemetery of Sillans-la-Cascade (Var) with her husband Raymond Pellegrin.
