Designed with performance in mind, QED Silver Anniversary-XT speaker cable boasts all of the characteristics associated with Silver Anniversary, but with the added enhancement of the Aircore™ technology found in the most prestigious QED X-Tube cables. The precise cylindrical construction of the silver-plated, 99.999% pure, oxygen free copper cables reduces the distortion caused by ‘skin effect’.
The result is a completely neutral speaker cable that will allow your hi-fi or home cinema system to perform at its best. The cable is a standard ‘figure 8’ configuration and is attractively finished, with each silver-plated core visible through a flexible 3.9mm diameter clear polyethylene outer sheath.

X-TUBE TECHNOLOGY™
At low frequencies both X-TubeTM and conventional stranded/solid core speaker cables convey signals in a linear way. However, at high frequencies, X-TubeTM retains a near-linear signal transfer, whereas the conventional cable fails to conduct uniformly across the entire conductor area. The result is that X-TubeTM delivers greater fidelity across the audio spectrum which would other wise be lost in ordinary cables.
AIRCORE TECHNOLOGY™
QED cables above 2.5mm2 cross sectional area utilise Aircore technology to obviate the skin effect by bundling several separately insulated smaller cores together to make up a larger CSA. If these conductors are arranged around a hollow central core of polyethylene the self inductance exhibited by the cable can be reduced to around half that predicted by calculation.
Twin-screw Banana Plug TERMINATION
Designed to fit 4mm amplifier and speaker sockets found on most high-end audio separates, these 4mm plugs are constructed from a gold plated metal connector and termination is via a twin screw fixing for easy assembly. The heavy duty plug barrel houses two large brass grub screws to ensure a consistently high level of performance and connectivity.
Optional AIRLOC TERMINATION
Brand new AIRLOC Forte plugs with improved pin section can be fitted to order as an option to achieve optimum sonic performance.
