DESCRIPTION - An original oil on board painting entitled 'Window Box' on the reverse label.
An original painting by the listed artist Richard Slater R.I. Signed bottom right corner.
Richard Slater was born in London in 1927. His exceptional talents were first recognised when he won a place at Hornsey School of Art in 1943. He has exhibited all his life: in the 1950s, he exhibited with the World Touring Exhibition of the Arts Council, and at the Royal Academy.
After a distinguished career teaching art he moved to East Cornwall in 1973 and continued to develop and evolve as a painter in his own right.
Throughout this period he continually exhibited his work both in the West Country and London. He has received many awards and prizes since 1980 and his work has been commissioned by several companies in this country and in America.
He has regularly had work accepted at the Mall Galleries in London, and in 1999, Richard was elected to the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour. He has exhibited with the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Arts Council of Great Britain. He is also a full member of the St Ives Society of Artists
Nicely presented in good quality off white and dark brown double mount and lime wash brown modern style wooden frame.

CONDITION - In very good clean condition with minor marks to frame - please see photos to satisfy yourself as to condition as they form part of the description. I do my best to describe all faults but am not infallible so please do not make a purchase unless you are totally happy regarding the condition. .
Most of the paintings and prints that I source are antique or vintage and as such are not in perfect condition and may need some attention to frames, mounts, glass, fixings, tape, dust, nails etc. However, I do try to be totally honest and bring any flaws and faults to your attention if present.

I like to use recycled cardboard when possible which also helps to keep prices low and do not profit from delivery costs with no charge being made for time taken to pack paintings/prints.
