Vintage mid century 1940s to 1950s black crepe women's short sleeve dress with sequin accents. It has a slightly V style wide waist band with a lightly gathered skirt. The sleeves are accented with raised twisted rope style trim in a floral design and accented with clear loops of sequins.

The dress is unlined and zips up the side with a silver metal zipper. The back of the top closes with 4 round matching fabric covered buttons. There is a 1.5" long belt loop on either side. It did not have a belt with it when I got it and I don't know if it came with one originally.

Condition
Dress has some minor condition issues. There is a small hole in the fabric on the lower back of the skirt and there is some wear to the fabric mostly under the arms and round the neckline. The zipper works smoothly.

This type of fabric usually needs to be dry cleaned and can shrink if it gets wet.

The dress does not have a size label and vintage sizing differs from standard sizing today. The waist to bust ratio ratio of vintage dresses on average was much larger than dresses today due to the type of undergarments that were typically worn.
