This is a combo of both the 8" main Fan shroud duct with the 6" PSU Fan shroud duct.

NEW!!! High Temp Polycarbonate Filament can withstand temperatures up to 112C/233F.

· High thermal properties with a Tg of 118°C and HDT of 112°C

· Superior thermal properties vs. PLA, PETG, ABS, and ASA

For now this is a special order, will need at least a week lead time. Just until we can get a steady flow of material.

A lot of the newer owners are running hotter than previous versions. We’ve had reports of temps up to 100C/212F. With these temperatures, the cheaper materials like PLA, PLA +, ABS, ABS Max, PTEG and HIPS all have a Glass transition temperature below 100C/212F.

The problem is that the material is much more expensive than the materials listed above. You are talking about a price difference of approximately 3x what the cheaper material costs.

With miners now costing upwards of $20,000, why risk the parts warping and losing shape? You risk losing the connection to the miner or, even worse, the ducting coming off.

We have tested this material in the oven, and it stays solid till 107C/225F.

The only material available for 3D printers that can withstand higher than this is the Carbon Fiber infused filament. But that material is even more expensive, and you only gain around 8C/46F over this Polycarbonate.

If you are having issues with high temps, below are a few tips and tricks to help reduce the running temps of your miners.

·         If you are running on 5/6” ducting, it may be worth upgrading to 8”; this will increase the airflow and be more forgiving regarding bends and kinks in the ducting run.

·         Try to reduce the bends and kinks as best you can. The more you have, the more the airflow will get restricted and cause back pressure, increasing running temps.

·         You can try and support the ducting about 6” from the joint of the ducting and our shroud. As a result, you reduce the weight on the shroud, lowering the chance of the shroud warping.

·         Keep the ducting run as short as possible, and this will also improve airflow.

Sold since 2018, Updated design to make access to the middle screws easier, will include 45mm screws to allow for the new design thickness.

!!!Please be advised manufacturers of ASIC miners have been known to place components behind the screw holes. So adding longer may damage those components!!! If you need to, add washers to reduce the chance of damage to components.

Design may vary slightly from photo, but changes will only be cosmetic!

Please Note that USPS charges are much higher than FedEx for larger quantity orders, will always offer a choice, but FedEx will always be much cheaper than USPS for any larger packages!

Please Note - this listing is for the black adapter ONLY, this listing does not include anything else ( flexible ducting or hose clamp or iphone)

Before you purchase, please verify the heat requirements that you need.

The 3 materials I use are listed below with the temperatures the material will start to go soft (Glass Transition Temp)

PLA Pro (PLA +) - 54C = 130F

HIPS – 80C = 176F - https://www.ebay.com/itm/304982223553

Polycarbonate (PC) - 112C = 233F

I am not responsible for the material going soft above the GT Temp.

There are many reasons a miner can run hot, ducting, bends/kinks, length of the run, air pressure to name a couple.
