You are buying a extremely rare old Spanish M-62 Traje de Lanzamiento Camuflado, or as it used to be called "uniforme de salto", parachutist jacket with mottled/speckled camouflage. It is one of the rarest and most difficult camouflages to see. Used exclusively by parachutist sapper squadron, or commonly known as EZAPAC, at the time was in the Spanish air force since the early 1960s to the 1970s. Specifically, it began to be used from the year 1962. This uniform was also seen being worn by other special operations and paratrooper units such as Parachutist Brigade but on very rare occasions.
The coat consists of a heavy paratrooper style smock made from a heavy, windproof canvas style fabric. These are uniforms from a bygone era, with so many features and a high complexity, something that was surely time-consuming to manufacture and won't likely find today in the era of disposable synthetic uniforms and automated manufacturing.
The coat is packed with pockets and features: on the front the most striking are the two vertically zippered chest pouches and below them - two cargo pockets with metal snap closures. There are small zippered pouches on the sleeves for field dressings. On the back near the waist are two large utility pouches with 3 metal snaps each. Internally, there is a waist cinch plus cord at the hem plus another one to adjust at the bottom. The armpits have large cut-outs for ventilation. In the neck, hidden under the flap, there are five metal snaps to attach the hood (which is not included).
The coat is incomplete without hood and eppauletes. However, is in excellent condition with very few signs of field use. Of course, it has been used on very few occasions, perhaps in a military parade or in a single jump. It has traces of thread from having worn the unit patch and para jump wings. The colours appear strong and original but there are occasional signs of storage. There is a print stamp on both, it reads T-1 (size 1 or small).
