- This disc cutter is a perfect tool to cut circles out of sheet metal and will cleanly cut the same sizes every time.
- All 10 punches are having the Non Cutting side Chamfered Edges for Easy Safe Handling.
- The main block is engraved with Inch sizes of punches on it.
- Cutter is suitable to cut up to 20 gauge metal, and can be used on a rubber mat or block to ease the cutting process and protect your work surface.
USAGE :
- Remove All the punches from the main block
- Select the punch size as per your work.
- Now turn the handle to separate the two discs.
- Place your Sheet metal in the slot between the two discs.
- Align the sheet metal in the correct slot size.
- Clamp your sheet metal buy turning the handle in opposite direction.
- Grab the punch and put it in the slot so that the cutting side faces down.
- Make sure that the worktable sturdy or place the cutter on one corner of the table. This will ensure enough energy is transferred for cleaner cuts.
- Strike at the top of chamfered side of the punch with a heavy mallet until it pierces through the sheet metal. Take care of your fingers and other items on your work table.
Care ' Maintenance ' Tips :
- On punch Blades, Use candle wax or other lubricant for lubrication between uses for cleaner cuts and blade protection.
- Keep the rest of the cutter lubricated with suitable oil to prevent from rust and moisture. Store it in a dry location away from moisture and water.
- Insert a piece of same thickness sheet metal of suitable size on the side opposite to where cuttings is done. This will keep upper and lower plates aligned and the guiding pins undamaged over long use.
