Description
The
central component of Kalatel’s family of award-winning Remote Surveillance
Modules, the RSM- 1600 Master Transceiver, allows anyone within reach of a
touchtone telephone to monitor any similarly equipped location worldwide. The
Master Transceiver (transmitter and receiver) uses standard telephone lines to
transmit full motion color video and audio, making remote surveillance of
businesses and property both practical and cost effective. A black box about
the size and shape of a video cassette tape, the Master Transceiver connects to
a standard telephone line and up to three in-store cameras (or to a Kalatel
RSM-700 Video/Alarm Expander or multiplexer for additional cameras) and is
fully compatible with existing CCTV systems. The video is viewed remotely using
a second RSM-1600 connected to a monitor or TV (no PC required) and/or with
RSMPC Monitoring Software, which loads quickly on a laptop or desktop PC. With
either option, it is easy for a business owner or manager to dial in and see
anything that is in view of the remote cameras in full motion color video. With
the addition of Kalatel’s RSM-700 Video/Alarm Expander, the Master Transceiver
supports 10 video inputs, eight with associated alarm inputs. Triggering an
alarm causes the Master Transceiver to automatically switch to the video input
associated with the alarm and to dial a remote monitoring station. A relay
output on the Video/Alarm Expander can be activated at the remote monitoring
site for control of devices at the camera location, including VCRs, auto
dialers, alarm bells and more.
