This is an Old beautifully Woven Hand Loomed Raffia Brown & Beige Panel of Kuba Cloth that comes from the Kuba Tribal people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.  This hand loomed panel is embellished with abstract applique. The designs have meaning to the weaver or the commissioner of the piece. Kuba cloth is woven from raffia palm leaves. Production of the fine decorative textile is a series of endeavors engaging both men and women. To further enhance the look and to balance the visual effect, other patches of various geometric designs were added.
