I bought both a manual and digital humidifier and I will say that this one has been much more accurate. I love the look of it and at a decent distance I can see if the humidity is high, OK, or low. I'm happy with the purchase. I wish it didn't need batteries, but it's much more convenient that it can go anywhere.
