These promo cards were distributed as single-card booster packs in limited quantity at the 25th Year Pokemon TCG Exhibition held at a few Thai malls in different provinces between December 2021 and February 2022. After waiting in line and paying the entry fee, customers would receive 1 Promo pack containing one of the three starters at random and 3 Sun & Moon booster packs.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game was officially translated into Thai in 2019. The cards are produced and printed by The Pokémon Company in Japan and then shipped to Thailand, therefore some aesthetics of the Japanese cards are retained, such as silver colored borders, Holofoil borders for standard Rare prints, regulation marks, and rarity symbols. Features of cards released outside Japan are also present, such as the image used on the reverse and the position of the copyright on Sun & Moon Series cards.
