Treasures of the Hard Rock Cafe : The Official Guide to the Hard Rock Cafe Memorabilia Collection.

“Treasures of the Hard Rock Cafe: The Official Guide to the Hard Rock Cafe Memorabilia Collection” is a 300-page book that features more than 2,000 photographs and 60 pages of text commemorating the unrivaled collection of rock ‘n roll memorabilia displayed at Hard Rock Cafes around the world. The book is printed on high-gloss paper stock, which further enhances the rich images. The book was released in 2001 in celebration of the Hard Rock Cafe’s 30th anniversary. Through lush pictures supported by informative descriptive narratives, the book profiles famous rock icons, including Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, and U2 with detailed notations regarding Hard Rock's memorabilia associated with each. The book takes a look back at how the first Hard Rock Cafe was transformed into one of the top global brands. "Our collection started when Eric Clapton gave the original Hard Rock Cafe in London his guitar to mark his favorite table,” said Peter Beaudrault, President and CEO of Hard Rock Cafe International when the book was released. “A few days later, another guitar arrived with a note from The Who's Pete Townshend claiming that his was as good as Clapton's. And from there, Hard Rock's unrivaled memorabilia collection was born."
