The book is printed on high-gloss paper stock, which further enhances the rich images. The book was released in 2001 in celebration of the Hard Rock Cafe’s 30th anniversary. Through lush pictures supported by informative descriptive narratives, the book profiles famous rock icons, including Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, and U2 with detailed notations regarding Hard Rock's memorabilia associated with each.
