Impressive vintage, 

Tokanabe chalk ware vase 

made in Japan. 

Black with a multi color bird sitting on a branch. Bird of Paradise.  Vines & flowers.  

 

12" high, 

6-1/2"  at widest point, neck opening is 3-1/8". 

4 pds 7 ounces

A little paint loss to the birds and here and their but over all very nice.  Two chips on the rim edge and some very tiny areas near the vase.
