Silicone rubber soft flexible sleeving, mostly branded 'Permanoid' of Manchester, who still exist! New old stock, some dated from the 1970s, made in the UK. Excellent for electronics restoration and repair. This isn't heatshrink.

I've been told it's ideal for air brake hoses on large scale train models, too.

As the colours are relatively muted, this looks good as a replacement for perished rubber insulation sleeving in old valve equipment, amplifiers, radio restorations and so forth. Obviously the photos will look different on your monitor, but suffice it to say that in real life the colours look in keeping with vintage gear, with none of the piercing vibrancy of PVC.

I can't vouch for its electrical properties, but it's done the business in my projects insulating component leads and point-to-point solid wiring. The photos show the different sizes on component leads of various types. It's stretchy stuff, but requires a bit of massaging on if the lead is quite fat and the sleeving is small. Hence my labels: 'ideal' (it slips straight on) and 'possible' (it needs a little push). If you have a long run to sleeve, perhaps a dip in boiling water would increase the ease of slipping it on.

Odd lengths of the same item will be supplied as a single length, so if you need 8m choose 1x5m and 3x1m.

I post with recycled packaging and Royal Mail, as I value my local postbox and my postman. I'm also a hobbyist in the UK with more sleeving than I need, rather than a dropshipper with a questionable human rights record.

Combined postage will be sorted in your basket, otherwise contact me.
