Travis played college football at the University of Cincinnati from 2008-2012. He played in 35 games over three seasons at Cincinnati amassing 875 receiving yards with 10 touchdowns on 59 catches. His brother Jason Kelce played at Cincinnati with him. Travis was selected in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 63rd overall pick. Kelce would join Andy Reid as a new member of the Chiefs in 2013. Reid also coached Travis’s brother Jason in Philadelphia. Travis has been a major piece of the Chief's offense since being drafted. He has become the best tight end in the league setting records all over the place. Since he has teamed up with Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have taken the league by storm and haven’t looked back. Kelce currently holds the records for tight ends in most consecutive 1000-yard seasons with 6, most 1000-yard seasons with 6, receiving yards in a season with 1,416 in 2020, and most 100+ reception seasons with 2. He currently has 9,006 regular-season receiving yards on 704 catches with 57 touchdowns and 1,291 post-season receiving yards on 106 receptions with 12 touchdowns. If he can stay healthy, he should easily be one of the best players ever if not the best tight end ever to play.
