For auction is an antique horse strap decorated wit bridal rosettes. I was told that it dated to the Civil War era but I have no way to confirm that. The purchaser must be the judge. The leather is cracked from age. The strap is 28 3/4" long and 2 7/8" wide and there is a hole punched in one end. There are two heart rosettes, eight diamonds, One club, two shield shaped and one with a figure of a horses head. I believe most of the rosettes are brass since a magnet is only attracted to the club and shield shaped rosettes.
