How to eat this product

Add warm water to the contents of this bag.  If you are mixing directly in the mylar bag, please remove the oxygen absorber before you add water.  Start slow and add water until it reaches the consistency you want, then it's best to wait a few minutes for the food items to re-hydrate.  They can then be heated in a microwave or in a pot over the stove or campfire.  Enjoy!!!

About Freeze Drying

Freeze drying is a low temperature dehydrating process which involves freezing the product, lowering pressure, then removing the ice by sublimation. This is in contrast to dehydration by most conventional methods that evaporate water using heat.
Freeze drying results in a high quality product because of the low temperature used in processing. The original shape of the product is maintained and quality of the re-hydrated product is excellent.

Freeze Dried Food

Freeze Dried food is the perfect emergency food supply.  It is also good for camping as freeze dried food is extremely light in weight.  Freeze Dried food is great snack food for your family and your pets will enjoy Freeze Dried food too!
Unlike other methods of food preservation, freeze drying does not shrink or toughen the food, and it retains flavor, color and nutrition.

Shelf Life

Refrigerated, frozen, and canned food just don't last very long. Freeze dried food will last up to 25 years and does not need to be to be rotated like other foods. Freeze dried food is perfect for home storage.

Nutrition

Freeze drying maintains 97% of the nutritional value of the food. Other methods of preservation, such as canning and dehydrating, use high temperatures that destroy much of the food value.

Packaging

We seal everything in FDA & USDA compliant Mylar bags.  Our bags are heavy duty 7 mil bags with no viewing window or plastic fronts.  Viewing windows allow light and eventually air into your product so they don't stay fresh as long.  You can add boiling water to our bags with no problems.  We include an oxygen absorber which will keep your food fresh and ready to use for years.  Once the Mylar bag is opened though, be sure to seal it tightly if there are still remaining items in the bag (strong zip lock enclosures are included in each bag.)  We include an oxygen absorber which will keep your food fresh and ready to use for years.  Once the Mylar bag is opened though, be sure to seal it tightly if there are still remaining items in the bag.  Unopened, food items in the Mylar bag are safe for 25-30 years but once opened and exposed to air, the time drops to just a few months.

Please note: We will package the product well for shipping, but due to the freeze drying process which makes the product brittle, there could be some cracking and separating.
