FULLY IN GERMAN.

Fully titled, Das neue Naturheilverfahren. Lehr- und Nachschlagebuch der naturgemäßen Heilweise und Gesundheitspfleg, which translates to, The new naturopathic treatment. Textbook and reference book on natural healing and health care. Commonly referred to as, "The Bilz book" or "Bilz book", it is the work written by the Saxon naturopath Friedrich Eduard Bilz.  This was a landmark textbook on natural healing and health care, which he published in the publishing house he also founded, the F. E. Bilz Verlags-Buchhandlung.

It was first published in 1888.  I am unable to find the date of publication of this copy - it looks similar to other copies online, including one in the German language edition of Wikipedia, that have a publication date of 1895 or thereabouts.  The Wikipedia image was identified as the 25th Edition published in 1895.  The title page of this copy states, "67. Auflage" which translates to 67th Edition. It also states "ca. 500,000 exemplare schon verfaust", which translates to, "approx. 500,000 copies already gone".  I am going to guess at a publication date around 1900.  The title page also notes that it has 555 illustrations.  The book is in VERY GOOD CONDITION.  Light to moderate corner and edge wear, blind-stamped front board and spine, flowered endpapers.  There is a stamp on the front endpaper, repeated behind the front endpaper (I believe its the same blue stamp - it is seen bottom left of fold-out plate of men).  All pages present as best I can tell.  The listing photos show these special illustrations that appear before the title page:  a fold-out of portraits of several men (I have no idea if this is part of the original book or a laid-in foldout at a later date), a 2-page beautiful color plate of perhaps the institute where the author did his work (and where the men in the fold-out portrait plate), and a tissue-protected thick-paper portrait of the author.  The title page is partially detached from the binding at the top portion.  All other pages in the book are solidly bound to the spine.  There are MANY BEAUTIFUL FULL-PAGE COLOR PLATES, many within-text B&W illustrations, and many full page B&W illustrations.  The book has 1880 pages followed by a 16-page advertising section (on pinkish paper, not white paper), ending with a thick paper "cut-out" of a human with two section images (the second of which is affixed to the back board) that have numbered section, and adjacent is a foldout index to these numbered sections.

A VERY UNIQUE AND SPECIAL BOOK WITH GREAT ILLUSTRATIONS AND NATURAL HEALTH INFORMATION CA. 1900.

On the author from Wikipedia:

"Friedrich Eduard Bilz (June 12, 1842 – January 30, 1922) was a German naturopath who was a native of Arnsdorf in the Kingdom of Saxony.

As a merchant of a Kolonialwarenladen (shop offering non-European goods) in Meerane, Bilz became interested in naturopathic medicine. In 1888 he published Das Neue Naturheilverfahren (The New Natural Healing), a book that became very popular and was translated into twelve languages.

In 1895 Bilz founded a health spa at Radebeul that was soon expanded into a large sanitarium. In the early part of the 20th century, he constructed a Licht-Luft Bad (a large outdoor swimming pool) at the sanitarium (the "Bilzbad"). In 1911 he displayed a Wellenmaschine (wave machine) at the International Hygiene Exhibition in Dresden. It was installed at Bilzbad during the following year.

In 1902, Bilz created a soft-drink named Bilz-Brause, a beverage consisting of mineral water and citrus juice that was served to patients at the sanitarium. After forming a partnership with local industrialist Franz Hartmann, the name was changed to Sinalco, and the drink was marketed worldwide."
