The Dual 1229 is a Classic idler drive turntable, that was manufactured in Germany. Many Dual enthusiasts say this is one of the finest turntables the company ever made. No plastic chassis here! This turntable features a strong metal chassis, metal tonearm, plus an incredibly quiet motor! This turntable is in very nice condition, and plays perfectly! It is a two speed (33 &45 RPM) automatic turntable. It has adjustable cartridge tracking force and adjustable anti skate. This turntable also features a very heavy alloy platter, which keeps speed accurate, with minimal wow, flutter, and rumble. The alloy platter would also allow the installation of a moving coil cartridge if desired. This turntable is in very nice condition and works perfectly. It sits on a handsome wood base, and has a plastic dustcover to keep dust and debris off your valuable records. This turntable is fitted with an excellent Ortofon VMS 20 MKII magnetic Stereo cartridge. It comes with both manual and automatic drop spindles.
