Antique 1930s Painting Dunhill Castle County Waterford Ireland by Ivy Attwell
On offer is an original vintage 1930s painting skillfully executed by English artist Ivy Attwell (1895 - 1985). Ivy was the great niece of Mabel Lucy Attwell (the highly acclaimed British illustrator and comic artist) .
Originally from Devon, Ivy Attwell traveled extensively across the world and documented her travels through her artwork. Her husband was in the merchant navy and she traveled with him across the globe. Well known paintings by Ivy Attwell include "Daybreak by Tunis" which forms part of the National Trust collection. Ivy served as chair of the Devon Art Society for 27 years.
Executed on art paper, it would make an excellent decorative piece. It is supplied unframed.
