<<Track is NOT included with kit, you add this kit to any of our tracks!>>

Take your racetrack to the next level with LED powered "neon" back glow!

Standoffs space your track 1" off mounting surface and make it "float" off the wall surface!

Upgrade any of our large tracks with this kit, even the Nurburgring!

<<Track is NOT included with kit>>

Kit includes:

1.  Continuous rgb LED strip light, 196" long, 3/8" width, self adhesive.  Includes remote, with options for preset colors, modes, speeds, and music/sound sync mode.  Bluetooth capability also allows you to control it with your smartphone!

6 ft power cord, with small control box/IR receiver approx. 18" from start of LED lights.

No batteries needed, plugs into your wall outlet!

2.  Clip-on standoff kit (8 pieces), Screw/wall anchor type

-- Standoffs have a pass-thru for the LED strip!

-- Screw type standoffs are sized for a #10 screw

Does not include:

Race track, mounting screws, anchors, or adhesive strips - you supply these depending on your needs.

Other items may be needed:  zip ties, masking tape, "Goop Automotive" adhesive or other high strength flexible adhesive.

Instructions:

1. Assemble track, then wipe the back surface with the included alcohol wipe for best adhesion.

2. Clip 6-8 standoffs onto track at evenly spaced intervals and secure with painters tape in desired locations (Ideally standoffs will not land directly over an LED, but the standoffs are windowed to let light thru - or simply slide the standoff over slightly).

3. Hold track up to wall and mount standoffs accordingly (depending on whether they are 3m Command adhesive type or screw type), and then unclip track carefully from standoffs

(for screw type standoffs, make a light mark around the base of the standoff in pencil and come back to mark the centers, drill pilot holes, and mount each one - tighten screws by hand only!)

4. Remove adhesive wrapper a bit at a time and stick LED strip on back side of track (starting with the end with the power wires, and start the LED strip wherever you want the wires to trail away from the track - typically the bottom), centered on the width (must be well-centered, especially at standoff locations) with LEDs facing out;  Use painters (masking) tape or zip ties to help secure it temporarily if needed until the LED strip adjusts to it's new position and the adhesive holds it in place (tighter corners).

To bend LED strip around corners, stick on a short straight section then twist it in the direction of the curve and push another short length down to adhere to the track, and repeat as many times as needed to work around the curve.  This will be somewhat ugly, but just get it to lay down as flat as you can - you won't see it anyhow from the front!  Make your little bends between LEDs so that the lit portions are sitting flat on the track.  Fold over any little lumpy areas so the adhesive holds it flat (see photos).

5. If LED strip adhesive is not strong enough to keep strip secure long term (Possibly where the end of the strip where the power wires hang down, or in very sharp corners, for example), additional adhesive may be needed.  In my case, I did not need any.  If needed, I recommend clear "Goop Automotive" adhesive - works well for me and adheres well to PLA plastic and other plastics while remaining slightly flexible.  A small zip tie to secure the pigtail end of the strip works well too!

6. Excess length of LED strip should be trimmed off at a marked "cut" location (do not cut off the connector end), overlapping cut end with starting end for seamless backlight glow effect.

7. Glue and secure trouble spots one at a time and allow to dry completely (24 hrs) before removing tape/zip ties.

8. Once complete, clip the track into the standoffs already mounted to the wall

9.  Plug the extension cable into the LED strip pigtail connector, then the other end into the control/IR receiver box, then plug the power adapter into the control box and plug it into an outlet (you have about 12 ft of wire to reach your outlet or extension cord).

10.  Enjoy, now it looks awesome day or night!
