Asus EEE PC 1005HA Netbook 10.1" 1GB 160GB Windows 7 2 NETBOOKS ONLY 1 WORKING

This listing is for two netbooks. The first one is working, the second one is not working and can be used for replacement parts. The first 12 photos are of the working netbook, the last 12 photos are of the not working netbook. There is no charger supplied for either. These are cheap to buy on EBay.

The working netbook

The touchpad, mouse buttons, wi-fi, keyboard and ports have been tested and are working. The CMOS internal battery needs to be replaced. Pressing F2 on boot up will load the Operating System. The date and time will sync once connected to the internet.

I have fully reinstalled the Operating System Windows 7 Starter 32 BIT with SP1 and the required drivers and necessary applications have been installed. The COA or Certificate of Authenticity is on the base of the machine. This has been activated online.

Following my inspection, I have noted there are a few light scratches here and there but these are only superficial. The screen has no dead pixels at the time of listing. I strongly advise to view all of the photo I have uploaded.

The battery is charging, however no battery life is guaranteed due to the age of the item.

The important specifications are: Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of Ram, Seagate 160GB SATA 2 Hard Disk, 10.1 inch screen @ a resolution of 1024x768, Webcam, Atheros Wi-Fi, 3 USB Ports, Lan Port, VGA Port, Mobile Intel 945 Express Graphics, High Definition Sound, SD Card Slot.

Also installed is Open Office Suite, VLC Media Player, Super Anti-Spyware, Thunderbird EMail and Firefox Web Browser. 

The not working netbook

This netbook does not turn as there is no power being supplied to the motherboard. I have only tested a compatible charger, so a genuine Asus charger may resolve this issue. There might be an issue with the power socket or the motherboard, I cannot be sure. 

No lights come on, and there is no signs of life. I have taken photos of all the parts that make up this machine, before reassembling everything carefully. I cannot guarantee any of the parts are in working condition, as I have been unable to test anything.

This unit has no Ram, a Intel Atom N270 CPU @ 1.66GHZ, no hard drive, 10.1 inch screen, 3 USB Ports, VGA Port, LAN Port, Internal Webcam, and a Microphone and Speaker Socket. The graphics are provided by the Intel GMA 950 Graphics chipset resulting in a resolution of 1024x600. Sound is provided by Realtek HD Audio, and Wi-Fi is supplied by an internal AzureWave Card.

Cosmetically the laptop casing is in good condition. One of the screen hinge covers is not fully locked in position, however the hinges hold just fine. The battery is included, but untested.
