You are looking at an Art Deco modern era bakelite snuff perfume container or bottle. The design is Chinese in both shape and with the very fine etchings. These depicts a bucolic traditional rural scene on one side and a figure of a man on the other. The color is a solid butterscotch amber yellow. It stands 2 3/16" tall, 1 5/8" wide and 9/16" thick. 

In excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. Lid unscrews easily. Dauber is present. Guaranteed vintage bakelite (tested with simichrome).
