For sale is an original leaf from a printed book of hours from Paris. On the parchment leaf a big metalcut showing the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Virgin and the Apostles. Verso further figural metalcut bordures showing scenes from the life of Christ and Latin text which is decorated by a painted initial in red, blue and gold. Leaf size: c. 16.5 x 10.5 cm
Condition:
- minor stains and browning
- otherwise in very good condition

Zum Verkauf steht ein Originalblatt aus einem gedruckten Pariser Stundenbuch von Simon Vostre. Auf dem Pergament-Blatt ein großer Metallschnitt. Dargestellt ist die Herabkunft des Heiligen Geistes auf Maria und die Apostel. Verso weitere figürliche Metallschnittbordüren mit Szenen aus dem Leben Christi und lateinischer Text, der verziert ist mit einer eingemalten Initiale in rot und gold.
Blattgröße: ca. 16.5 x 10.5 cm
Zustand:
- leicht gebräunt und fleckig
