The Who's second U.S. album is back in a complete STEREO/MONO recording!
Produced by Kit Lambert, the second album "A Quick One" was released in December 1966 (Reaction/UK #4/mono).

Compared to the first album, in which Townsend took complete control of the songwriting, the second album featured an unusual production system in which all four members brought their own compositions to the album.

The second album in the U.S. was retitled "Happy Jack" (No. 67) from the British version "A Quick One".
In addition, the only cover, "Love is a Heat Wave" (originally by Martha & the Vandellas), was replaced by the hit title track and released in May.
